【Taipei】Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Changing of the Guard ceremony



Taiwan’s popular tourist spot, “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.”

The height of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is 70 meters. Blue pointed roof, white marble of the outer wall, the red flower bed flower,this is referred to as the “be cleared of all the charge full Chibeni”, represents the Republic of China national flag.



Towards the entrance of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, there is 89-steps staircase. The reason 89-stage is because late age of Chiang Kai-shek was a 89-year-old in the East Asian age reckoning. If anyone who is a little tired to climb the stairs or wheelchair , they can use elevator.

When you enter from the side of the building, There is a Chiang Kai-shek museum.

Chiang Kai-shek favorite cars etc are on display.

There are souvenir shop and post office.

There is a lift in the back of the first floor.

Soldier at the time of the Changing of the Guard ceremony also go up using this elevator.

Changing of the Guard ceremony shows every day from 10 am to 4:00 pm  (Wednesday 6:00 pm), is done on every hour, time is about 10 minutes.

Please try to use the elevator if you come to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
