Preparation you should make in advance
Advance Ticket Purchase
A Studio Pass is always required to enter the parks.
You can buy tickets on the day of your visit, but this will require you to wait in line at the ticket counter.
If you purchase tickets in advance and use the “direct-in” method, you can enter the park directly without the need to exchange tickets on the day of purchase.
What is “direct-in”?
Direct-in” refers to a method of entering the park directly by using the QR code on the ticket purchased from the web, instead of a paper ticket.
There are two ways to purchase Studio Pass in advance
Electronic ticket→Purchase in advance at the Web Ticket Store or Lawson and select “Direct In” (you can enter the park directly on the day of your visit).
Paper ticket→Purchase in advance at Web Ticket Store and select “Exchange for paper ticket at the park” (You need to line up at the ticket booth on the day of your visit.)

If you have a discount coupon, you can make a reservation and purchase tickets online at a discount price.
Confirmation of business hours
Once you have decided on the day you will enter the park, be sure to check the hours of operation.
You can check the official website for the opening hours for that day, but in most cases, the park actually opens earlier than the posted hours.

Therefore, we recommend that you arrive at the park at least one hour before the opening time after confirming the opening time.
Please be sure to check in advance so that by the time you arrive, the park will already be open and there will not be a large number of people waiting in line for attractions.

Check attraction operations
Attractions in the parks are subject to periods of inactivity due to maintenance work and other reasons.
When you go to the park on the day of your visit, be sure to check the operation status of the attractions when you decide on the day of your visit to avoid the disappointment of not being able to ride the attraction you are looking for because it is closed for maintenance work, etc.
Also, some attractions are only available for a limited time in conjunction with events, so be sure to check the schedule for those as well.
Obtain numbered tickets
Numbered tickets are necessary to use attractions smoothly.
However, there are several types of numbered tickets, which are divided into three categories.

How to obtain numbered tickets
Directly issued from a ticket machine located in the park (requires a park ticket for everyone)
Obtained as an e-numbered ticket from the official app (Park admission ticket must be registered in the app)
Numbered tickets run out quickly on weekends and major holidays, so we recommend that you pick one up as soon as you enter the park.
It is recommended that you buy your drinks before entering the park.
The vending machines in the park are more expensive than regular vending machines, so we recommend that you buy them in advance at convenience stores such as Universal City Station!
