【Access】Directions to Kanamachi’s Shibarare Jizo

I visited Nanzoin, a temple famous for its Shibarare Jizo (bounded Jizo).

The location is in a residential area in front of Mizumoto Park.

The inside is quiet and serene. I loved it.

I live nearby but this is my first time here. I have passed by the street in front of the temple many times.

The Nanzoin Temple where Shibarare Jizo is enshrined is officially called “Nanjiin Temple of Narihirazan Tozenji Temple”.

In addition to the Bindare Jizo, the Suiko Jizo Son is also enshrined here.

The main hall is to the left of the precincts, with Shakyamuni Buddha as the principal deity. A sacred pine tree, Seitoku no Matsu, spreads its branches.

Behind Nanzoin is the beautiful Mizumoto Park, which is also good for a walk.
