It is easy to get to Shuri Castle by Yui Rail.
Get off at Shurijo Station and walk about 10 minutes. Shurijo is a castle built when Okinawa was the Ryukyu Kingdom, and became a World Heritage Site in December 2000, attracting many tourists.
It is also popular as a power spot.
This was my first time here and I was amazed at the size of the place.
This is the view from Shuri Castle. The combination of the sea and the town looks nice.
There is a fee to enter the castle. There is a ticket office.
There are stores and a cafe inside.

For local buses.
City Line 1, 14, 17. Take the Intercity Line No. 46. Get off at the Shurijo Park Entrance bus stop and walk 5 minutes to the Shurei no Mon (gate).
Take the Shurijoshimachi Line No. 7 or 8. Get off at Shurijo-mae bus stop. It is a 1-minute walk to Shurei no Mon.
By car
It takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour by car from Naha Airport via Route 58.
Paid parking is available at Shuri Castle. The prefectural parking lot is Shurijo Park Parking Lot. 320 yen per 2 hours.
