About Sado Kisen Niigata Port Terminal

It is the Niigata side entrance to Sado Island.
This port is used by many people heading to Sado Island.
Restaurants and souvenir stores are located in the terminal.
Toki Messe” is located on the surrounding waterfront, and from the observation room, you can watch the departure of Sado Kisen boats.

How to get there

First, you must exit Niigata Station through the Bandai Exit (North Exit) ticket gate, not the South Exit.
(For the Sado Kisen Terminal, get off at the Bandai Exit Bus Terminal, platform #3.

Tips

We took the 7:55am and 3:30pm jet foils for a day trip to Sado.
Perhaps it was because the wind and waves were calm, but the Jet Hoyle was a comfortable one-hour ride with no bumps or shakes.
The seats are narrow, so if you are a big person, you might want to book an aisle seat.
