What’s about TOHOKU EMOTION
TOHOKU EMOTION is a restaurant train that runs between Hachinohe Station and Kuji Station on the Hachinohe Line as part of efforts to support reconstruction efforts and revitalize the Tohoku region.
The three-car train, themed on the theme of a “running restaurant,” has three cars: the first car in the Hachinohe direction is a compartment with private rooms, the third car in the Kuji direction is an open dining car, and the second car in the middle is a live kitchen space where passengers can enjoy watching the food being prepared right in front of their eyes. The middle car, No. 2, is a live kitchen space where passengers can enjoy the cooking in front of them.
The exterior of the car has an original design inspired by a restaurant in the city. The entrance to the train is designed to look as if you are entering a restaurant from the platform.
