About Ryukyu Village
The scenery inside the village is very Ryukyu very characteristic, and coincidentally we caught the performance inside, there are singing, musical instrument show and similar to the domestic lion show, the atmosphere is very good, many attractions are also very suitable for taking pictures. Inside there is also a large place selling glass products, very unique. It’s a pity that we only gave an hour or so of touring time with the group to see the show and then didn’t have time to take a closer look at the glass store.

Tips
I bought a ticket through the ticket vending machine for 1,200 yen for adults, so take a map of Ryukyu Village and go door to door!
In fact, Ryukyu Village is not very big, so you can walk slowly and watch the performances at regular times, and you can finish the tour in 2 hours. Of course, there are many experiences at the exit, such as pinching a small shisa, blowing a glass, weaving a piece of cloth, etc. If you want to experience, it will take a long time.
In fact, this is the people’s homes, now open to the public, is the opposite of Shurijo City, one is the royal family, one is the poor family. Weaving, making shisa sculpture, brewing …… all kinds of crafts can be seen here prototype
Because it is also a weekday, there are very few people in the scenic area and the houses can be visited after slipping on your shoes. Sitting on the tatami mats and meeting the open door, the wind poured in from outside and slipped through the window behind me, leaving the cool air behind. I thought the tatami mats would be just as sticky as the mats, but I didn’t realize that lying on them was very cool and they don’t move back and forth.
Local dances are performed at different times of the day for about 10 minutes, so you can experience them if you are interested.
A pair of small shisa here is about 340 yen, which is much cheaper than the international pass~ Must take the Ryukyu village retains the scenery of Okinawa’s past and experience Okinawan culture such as traditional handicrafts, there are many Ryukyu traditional red tile roof houses moved to the park, forming a unique scenery. You can also enjoy the Okinawan style ball-shaped donuts and take photos in Ryukyu costumes.
To reiterate the tour, it is still recommended to customize to experience better, I customize the past tour in the Ant Hive, interested in the Ryukyu Village can go to see the mixed reviews, personally, I think paid attractions in general, can not be said to be very distinctive, but if you are getting together to go to the show time, the ticket is still quite worth it. This is the first stop of my chartered day trip, 8:00 departure is to catch the 9:00 エイサー performance, エイサー is actually a drum dance performance, but the scene is still very powerful, 9:30 in the next venue and Okinawan folk dance performance.
