About Karuizawa Toy Kingdom
A “toy” theme park where visitors can see, touch, and experience toys.
The “Wakuwaku Dai Boken no Mori” (Forest of Exciting Adventure), one of the largest in the northern Kanto region with approximately 120 athletic elements, is very popular.
Visitors can enjoy unique athletic facilities such as a tree house and a secret base of giant mushrooms, which are made from the lava of Mt.
There are also 11 toy rooms and attractions that can be enjoyed by children as young as 0 years old.
How to get there

From Tokyo: 30 km from Usui Karuizawa IC on Joshinetsu Expressway (2 km ahead of Onishidashi), about 60 minutes.
From Nagano: From Ueda Sugadaira IC on Joshinetsu Expressway, turn right at the “Sasadaira” traffic light via R144 and drive straight for about 8 km. From Ueda Sugadaira IC: 35.2 km, approx. 60 min.
From Niigata: From Numata IC of Kanetsu Expressway, drive via R120 to R145 at “Shimokawada-machi” traffic light, turn left at “Sasadaira” traffic light via R144, and go straight for about 8 km. 68.3km from Numata IC, about 90min.
Tips
It was inexpensive and full of events and facilities for children to enjoy. The use of the park was based on early elementary school age, and the athletic facilities were a bit lacking for older children. The price was reasonable and we had a great day!
