About Kujukushima Botanical Garden Mori Kirara

Located on a hill overlooking Kujuku Islands, Mori Kirara is a zoo and botanical garden with the theme of healing and nature of Kujuku Islands. Visitors can see the animals living in the park surrounded by seasonal flowers and trees, and their adorable expressions.
Animals such as giraffes, bears, and red pandas are kept in the spacious park. In addition, roses, subtropical plants, and flowers of the four seasons are in full bloom.
Events are also planned for families to enjoy interacting with the animals.
The popular “Penguin Pavilion” has many attractions, including Japan’s largest overhead tank at 80 square meters, a 4-meter deep tank, and Japan’s first ultra-shallow tank where visitors can observe the soles of penguins’ feet. The tank is uncovered, so on sunny days, visitors can look up at the overhead tank from the first floor hall and see penguins swimming as if they were flying in the blue sky.

Tips

It is a really nice place with a lot of innovations to keep young children entertained. And the annual pass is very inexpensive. And if you show your pass, you get a discount on food and toys. I think the penguin place is the best in Japan. My grandson loved feeding the goats and enjoyed it over and over again.
