Tips
It’s amazing that there is a shrine like this along a busy shopping street, it’s very well preserved. I don’t know much about humanities or history, so I went to see a similar building, nothing special.
It is located across from the old settlement of Daimaru and has a lot of history. In 1868, the Kobe Incident took place here, when a clash took place between a clan of the Bizen Clan and several foreign sailors, at a time when the Meiji Restoration was not yet firmly established. In the past, Japan was also trampled on by the powers.
Behind the shrine is the Daimaru department store.
Sannomiya Shrine is located in Sannomiya Ward, on the main street, and is a very small shrine.
