About Ishigaki Ferry Terminal
From Ishigakijima Remote Island Terminal, there are several high-speed boats leaving daily, and you can also enjoy day trips to the surrounding islands. However, there are only a few counters to buy tickets in Ishigaki Port Terminal.
For this reason, we recommend that you purchase tickets online rather than on site.
How to get there
Ishigaki Island Terminal is located near the center of downtown Ishigaki such as 730 intersection on the Southern Gate Bridge side and Misaki Town.
Cabs or local buses are recommended to get to the terminal.
There are also regular bus services from some hotels.
Two bus companies operate from Shin-Ishigaki Airport to the Remote Island Terminal.
If you want Whole Japan Rail Pass, first make a ticket reservation!
If you have a discount coupon, you can make a reservation and purchase tickets online at a discount price.
The Higashi Unyu bus will take approximately 38 minutes after boarding the bus for the “Port Area”.
It passes through ANA Intercontinental and Nikko Yaeyama Hotel, so those staying at these hotels should use Higashi Unyu’s bus.
Another Cary Kanko Bus operates a nonstop bus service to the remote island terminal, which takes approximately 30 minutes.
Tips
Please be aware that the buses stop at every station and are used by local residents, so please do not disturb them. The buses also pass through hospitals on the way, so please give up your seat. (Note that if the bus is crowded, it will take one hour.)
