About Osaka International Ferry Terminal

From the Osaka Port International Ferry Terminal, there are regular ocean-going ferry services three times a week to the sister port of Busan and once a week to the friendly port of Shanghai.

How to get there

Osaka Station
Take the Yotsubashi Subway Line to Nishi-Umeda Station or the Midosuji Line from Umeda Station to Hommachi Station, then transfer to the Chuo Line to the last stop, Cosmosquare Station. The Yotsubashi Line is recommended from the Umeda area because it is relatively empty. Nishi Umeda Station is the first station.

It takes about 30 minutes and the fare is ¥270.

Shin-Osaka Station
Take the Midosuji Subway Line from Shin-Osaka Station to Hommachi Station, then transfer to the Chuo Line to Cosmosquare Station.

It takes about 30 minutes and costs ¥310.

JR tickets with “Osaka City” as the arrival station are valid from Shin-Osaka Station to Benten-cho Station on the Osaka Loop Line after transferring to a conventional train. Compared to the route that transfers to the subway at Shin-Osaka Station, there is one more transfer, but you can save a little on the subway fare.

Fare ¥230 (Benten-cho Station – Cosmosquare Station)

Namba
From Namba Subway Station, take the Yotsubashi Line or Midosuji Line to Hommachi Station, then transfer to the Chuo Line to Cosmosquare Station.

It takes about 25 minutes and costs ¥270.

From Namba Subway Station, take the Sennichimae Line to Awaza Station, and transfer to the Chuo Line to Cosmosquare Station.

Kansai International Airport
Take a limousine bus bound for Universal Studios Japan from Kansai International Airport, get off at the Hyatt Regency Osaka stop, and take a cab (approx. 1 km) to Osaka International Ferry Terminal. Or, get off at the bus stop: Port Town Higashi and transfer to the New Tram to go to Cosmosquare Station. Fare: 1,500 yen for Kansai Airport – Port Town Higashi and Hyatt Regency Osaka. From Port Town Higashi Station to Cosmosquare Station is 200 yen. The bus departs from Kansai Airport at 9:00 a.m. and runs approximately every hour. The trip takes about 70 minutes.

Kansai Airport Transportation: From/to Nanko, Tempozan (Kaiyukan), Universal Studios Japan
From Kansai Airport Station, take the JR Kanku Kaisoku Rapid train (approx. 60 min., 1,160 yen) to Benten-cho Station, then transfer to the Chuo Subway Line (approx. 7 min., 230 yen) to Cosmosquare Station.

From Kansai Airport, take a limousine bus (about 50 minutes, 1,000 yen) to Namba OCAT. Alternatively, take the Nankai Railway Limited Express Rapito (approx. 35 minutes, 1,390 yen including express fare) or Airport Express (approx. 45 minutes, 890 yen) to Namba Station. From Namba Station on the Yotsubashi Subway Line, go to Hommachi Station and transfer to the Chuo Line to Cosmosquare Station (approx. 25 minutes, 270 yen). The “Kanku Chikatoku Ticket,” a discount ticket that allows you to use Nankai Railway’s Kankai Airport Station – Namba Station transfer – subway and New Tram stations, costs 980 yen. The airport express train is also available.

Tips

A free shuttle bus runs from Cosmosquare Station. There is no foreign currency exchange or convenience store in the terminal. The immigration and security checks are very smooth and do not take long.
