About Enjin-no-yu
Enjin-no-yu is a natural hot spring facility located in the resort hotel “Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo.” The hot spring water here gushes from two strata (one about 5 million years old and the other about 54 million years old) located between 2119 m and 1500 m underground, and is naturally blended before reaching the ground.
They contain ancient fossil seawater from the time when the ape man “Ardipithecus ramidus,” said to be the oldest human, was born. This is 80% the salt content of today’s common seawater, but it also contains high levels of metasilicic acid, calcium, iodine, iron and nutrients, and has some properties that are completely different from those of today’s seawater.

Tips
Natural hot springs are precious in Okinawa. The water was dark and tepid. The view from the hilltop was pleasant.
The water is muddy brown, warms the body well, and is good for smooth skin. The sauna is a little lukewarm, but the water bath is moderately cool and clear. The best selling point of this bathhouse, however, is the spectacular view of Nakagusuku Bay that can be seen while soaking in the hot water.
