How to get to Chishakuin



About Chishakuin

Chishakuinis a temple located in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The name of the mountain is “500 Buddhas”  The founder of the temple is Gengyu, the founder of the Vajrayogini Daishonin.

For those who like Buddhism, this place is dedicated to the Dainichi Buddha and the plants are cultivated with great care and the gardens are lovely and manicured.

How to get there

Approx. 20 minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station

Fare

Adult 500 yen

Junior and senior high school students 300 yen

Elementary school students 200 yen
