How to get to Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center

About Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center

Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center is a tourist information facility of Taito City in front of Kaminarimon.
With the concept of “Search, Show, Support”, we provide useful information and services to visitors to Taito City.

The building was designed by Kengo Kuma, who also designed the New National Stadium and the Takanawa Gateway Station on the JR Yamanote Line. The building features a “Japanese” design that looks like a series of wooden one-story buildings stacked on top of each other.

The exterior walls are made of glass, so they are not heavy, giving visitors a glimpse of the inside of the building and making it easy to enter. A fusion of traditional Japanese culture and modern design. It is truly a building that matches the streetscape of Asakusa, where the old and the new merge.
