【Taipei】Free keeps evil spirits away at Hsing Tian Kong



Where are they Located?

Hsing Tian Kong is a very popular temple on the corner of a busy intersection.  It’s a very majestic looking and the scene is a bit surreal when you enter it.

This temple is situated on a street corner near the center of the city. Sculptures of dragons feature prominently in this temple’s design. It covers over 7,000 square meters.

From 1956 to 1967, Master Hsuan Kung used vast amounts of his own funds to build the main Hsing Tian Kong in downtown Taipei, and two branch temples, one in Sanxia, New Taipei City, and the other in Beitou, Taipei City. His vision and unstinting efforts created the majestic grandeur of Hsing Tian Kong today.
The main Hsing Tian Kong, also known as En Chu Kong Temple, is located in downtown Taipei City. On average it is visited by several tens of thousands of believers every day.
