About Shimoda Underwater Aquarium
Shimoda Underwater Aquarium is located in Shimoda, at the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula, in a natural cove. At the sea stage on the premises, visitors can not only see dolphins swimming around energetically, but also actually touch and swim with them. In addition to dolphins, there are many other fascinating hands-on programs such as sea lion and seal shows, feeding the otters, and more!

Tips
An aquarium with a sense of history.
Although the facilities are aging, the animals and staff are truly professional. I was surprised at how friendly the dolphins were!
The kids won a big stuffed turtle in the souvenir corner, and they spent the whole trip with it. This aquarium gave me such warm memories.
