About Yakuri Cable car
The Yakuri Cable is a cable car of Shikoku Cable that connects Yakuri Togatoguchi Station and Yaguri Yamagami Station in Mure-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. In 1931, the Yaguri Tozan Railway started operation as a pilgrimage route to Yakuri Temple on Gokenzan, the 85th temple of the 88 sacred places on Shikoku Island, and has been commonly known as the Yakuri Cable since its opening. It was discontinued during the war, but was restored in 1964.
