About Yakuri Cable car

The Yakuri Cable is a cable car of Shikoku Cable that connects Yakuri Togatoguchi Station and Yaguri Yamagami Station in Mure-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. In 1931, the Yaguri Tozan Railway started operation as a pilgrimage route to Yakuri Temple on Gokenzan, the 85th temple of the 88 sacred places on Shikoku Island, and has been commonly known as the Yakuri Cable since its opening. It was discontinued during the war, but was restored in 1964.

How to get there

5 minutes from Kotoden Yakuri Station
15 minutes from the Chuo IC of the Takamatsu Expressway
15 minutes from the Shido IC on the Takamatsu Expressway
There are 400 parking spaces in front of the Yamaguri cable trailhead station.

Tips

I used it to visit Hakkuri Temple.
There is a large parking lot, which is very convenient.
The round-trip fare was inexpensive, and although the distance was longer than expected, the view of the city of Takamatsu and Yashima was pleasant.
