About Aoshima Island
Aoshima is a small island in the south coast of Miyazaki, 1.5 km in circumference, with more than 200 kinds of subtropical plants. There is a subtropical botanical garden and Aoshima Shrine on the island. The coastal rocks around Aoshima have been pounded and eroded by strong waves over a long period of time, forming some stairway-shaped wave patterns, a peculiar natural phenomenon of hydromorphic rocks. The gullies on the boulders stretch straight into the distance, looking like a washboard, and Qingdao is in the middle of the washboard, just like a pile of laundry to be washed. This is the most peculiar view of Aoshima and is called “Ghost Washboard” (鬼の洗衣板).

Tips
The beach does not look particularly clean, and the coastline is quite ordinary, a place to go or not to go.
The coast is more characteristic, playing on the reef for half a day
The coast is full of southern style, Aoshima is a small island off the coast of Japan, and the land is connected by a beach such as an artificial road, there is only one road will not go fork, the island is lush green, the most famous is the Aoshima Shrine, dedicated to the god of love recognized by the locals – the god of the sea Toyohime and her husband, many Japanese tourists, a pair of young and old, relive the feelings and mood of the honeymoon trip!
Aoshima in Miyazaki was thought to be very big when we looked at Google Maps, to the fact that, after a short walk, it is Aoshima, and not very big. We arrived at Miyazaki station, got out of the station, followed Google Maps, and soon arrived. There are tropical plants on Aoshima, so there are mangoes in that area, and mango ice creams are sold along the road, which is indeed very not.
Very nice island, beautiful beach, and the ghost of the washboard, very spectacular, not many people on the island, there is an Aoshima shrine, the scenery is really beautiful.
In fact, the shrine there are also all rubbish, probably because of the unique waves there. Really beautiful, the wind is also very big, mainly we still go to the winter ……
Aoshima is surrounded by striped rocks called “onijin washboard rocks”, and the island is overgrown with subtropical plants, among which is the Aoshima Shrine, which has been considered a sacred place because of its peculiar landform and vegetation.
The coastline is very unique, but after a long drive, it was a little disappointing.
It’s a very comfortable seaside town, 40 minutes from Miyazaki Airport by incoming train, and it takes you around the island to see the “devil’s scrub”.
There is a sea bathing beach emmmmm Aoshima Shrine Well …… is okay, right To say that the ghost scrubs can be seen everywhere here
