Introduction to Osaka Kema Sakuranomiya Park

The riverbed park located between “Maumasaiyan” and “Tenman Bridge” is famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot. There are about 450 cherry blossom trees along the roadside.

The park on the east side of the river is full of cherry blossoms. The number of cherry blossoms is even more than that of the Mint, and when they are in full bloom, they are spectacular.

Osaka Kema Sakuranomiya Park Tips

The 4.2-kilometer-long “Okawa” cherry blossoms are the most distinctive feature of this park, and the many high-rise buildings next to it emphasize the urban feel of Moma Sakura-no-miya Park, making it a great place for an afternoon stroll surrounded by cherry blossoms. In addition to walking, you can also take the Osaka Minakami Bus, which offers a great view of the cherry blossoms along the “Okawa” River.

Access: By JR to Sakuranomiya Station or Tenmanbashi Station on the Municipal Subway

“Kema Sakuranomiya Park” is a park located around Sakuranomiya Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line. In spring, about 4,800 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino cherry trees and mountain cherry trees, bloom, making the park very busy with cherry blossom viewing. The famous “Mint” is located on the right rocky shore, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms of “Mint Sakura-no-miya Park” and “Moma Sakura-no-miya Park” at the same time!

Best time to enjoy: late March to early April
